A Message from Erik Cimpl, founder and operator of Cimpl Made Hunts...

For as long as I can remember, I always loved taking people hunting that were new to the sport or who had as much love and appreciation for the outdoors as I do. I have been blessed with the opportunity to hunt some of the best hunting land South Dakota has to offer, and have been able to make great memories with family, friends, as well as make many new friends along the way.

As much as I enjoy the thrill of the hunt myself, it’s just as rewarding for me to see the thrill on other people’s faces and memories that will last a lifetime.  Starting my own guided hunting business is something I have always dreamed of doing for these reasons. It wasn’t until recently that I had the resources and capabilities to make this happen.  I have always had a great support system throughout everything I have done in my life, and this is no exception.  That’s why I thought it was only fitting to somehow incorporate these people in the name of the business, “Cimpl Made Hunts.” On the surface, it appears like an easy play on words. But the reason I chose this name is because there are numerous people in the Cimpl family tree that have made my dream possible.  Doug Cimpl, Pj and Marti Cimpl, Mike and Nancy Cimpl, and Dan and Kelly Cimpl to name a few, as well as numerous other friends and family members.

South Dakota's pheasant habitat is world renowned, and my primary focus is enabling hunters to experience the thrill of hunting the ringneck pheasant. That said the land is also abundant in grouse, prairie chicken, coyotes, deer, turkeys, ducks, geese, partridge, and some quail. While my primary guiding focus is on pheasant hunting, Cimpl Made Hunts also offers guided turkey and waterfowl hunts. Your hunting experience will take you to excellent CRP habitat, shelterbelts, sloughs, food plots, and corn strips.

I look forward to the opportunity to help you, your family, or friends to create some unforgettable memories.

Thanks for reading and for your interest in Cimpl Made Hunts.
